How Online Coaching Works

  • We start with a relaxed, no-pressure conversation to understand you properly.

    We’ll cover:

    • Your goals and what you want to achieve

    • Your training history (if any)

    • Any injuries or limitations

    • Your lifestyle, schedule, and potential obstacles

    • Anything else you believe I need to know

This gives us a clear picture of where you are now—and where you want to get to.This is where real progress happens.

  • Next, we establish your baseline so your training is tailored from day one.

    This may include:

    • A simple movement assessment

    • Strength and fitness testing (at a level appropriate for you)

    • Body measurements (if relevant to your goals)

    • Lifestyle and nutrition habits (e.g. food diary if needed)

Everything is adapted to your current ability.

The movement assessment wil be covered in video call with me.

The only equipment you’ll need is space to lie down and a cushion.

  • Using everything we’ve learned, I design a personalised plan that fits your life—not the other way around.

    We’ll:

    • Start training with a clear structure and purpose

    • Focus on what works best for you

    • Make adjustments early to ensure it’s sustainable

The goal is to build momentum without overwhelm.

Your programs will be on my coaching app,

Every exericise has in depth video describing technique.

  • As you get stronger and more confident, we:

    • Progress your training safely and effectively

    • Track improvements against your starting point

    • Adjust the plan based on what’s working (and what’s not)

    • Keep you accountable and consistent

You’ll always know what you’re doing—and why you’re doing it.

Client Results

Having not trained properly for several years I was suffering from shoulder and back ache from sitting for most of the day and when I did intermittently get to the gym. Using his immense knowledge of biomechanics, Niall worked with me to identify some key mobility and postural issues and focused our sessions on those. Each week he would work with how I was feeling and designed training plans to suit my preferences.
I'm feeling almost zero pain and a whole lot stronger.

Fiona Hamilton (Customer Success Manager)

Niall been a rock, patient, funny, supportive, enthusiastic and strict when he’s had to be? Yes. I’ve lost the weight and added muscle. I feel happier, fitter, healthier and I look better than I have for years. I can’t recommend Niall enough.

Max Usher - Barrister

Niall is an incredible personal trainer. He is very smart and, whilst massively helping me with my fitness regime, he has also fixed my back and shoulder problems that were plaguing me for years. Totally different to the competition and I thoroughly recommend.

Dean Jones - CEO Jones Chase

Having had two spinal surgeries, a spinal infection, and two shoulder surgeries I had finally admitted that I was getting older and less wise, by keep getting injured, and decided to take some time out of training to rehab. Niall has been amazing. We started slow and steady, his knowledge around anatomy, physiognomy and his practical and thoughtful approach to training has been revolutionary for me. He listens to my goals, helps moderate and inform them, and then helps me get there. I can honestly say I’ve spent a long time over the last two decades trying to get some structure to my training and myself, and he’s turned it around in less than six months. I’m dead lifting now which a year ago would have put me in hospital. Awesome dude.

Nial Goodman - Saltus Capital

Niall’s attention to detail is second to none.

Not only does he get every last inch of activation from your muscles, he’s also an encyclopaedia of recovery and nutritional advice that has been vital to the many positive changes I’ve had with my health and physique.

You’ll be amazed by the development of muscles in your body you didn’t know you had.

Commonly Asked Questions About Online Coaching

  • Not at all.

This is personal training—everything is built around you and your starting point. This isn’t bootcamp or random “beasting” sessions.

In fact, I enjoy working with people who feel unfit. It’s the perfect time to build good technique and habits from the ground up.

And it’s always a buzz when you realise how far you’ve come after the first 6 weeks.

  • Online coaching gives you a clear plan, structure, and support—so you can get stronger, move better, and feel good.

Your training is delivered through an app, with each session clearly laid out and supported by video guidance.

We keep things on track with regular check-ins, adjusting your plan as you progress and as life changes.

You’ll also have direct access to me throughout the week, so you’re never left guessing and always supported.

  • This is a big part of what I do.

We take your injury history into account and build your training around it—while also spotting issues before they become injuries.

If you’re working with a physio, it’s best to get the all-clear first. I’m also happy to liaise with them so we’re all working towards the same goal.

If you’re unsure, just get in touch—I’ll always give you honest advice on your next step.

  • Yes—nutrition is an important part of getting the best results from your training.

It supports your recovery, helps you adapt to your workouts, and plays a key role in improving body composition and overall performance.

My approach is to keep things simple and practical, so it fits into your lifestyle rather than feeling restrictive or overwhelming.

I’m certified with Precision Nutrition as a level 2 coach, and guidance is always available if and when you need it.

Some clients choose to focus on training first and come to nutrition later—and that’s absolutely fine.

  • Yes—your coaching is designed to fit around your schedule, not the other way around.

I keep check-ins flexible and understand that life can be unpredictable, so adjustments can always be made when needed.

The goal is to make training something that works alongside your lifestyle, not something that adds extra stress.

  • Initially we can do weekly calls, as you become confident in the process and what you’re doing this will change to biweekly

  • WhatsApp is the best way most of the time.

For video reviews of exercise technique there is a dedicated place on the coaching app.

You can also reach me via the coaching app messaging service, which I check twice daily.

  • I aim to respond to all messages within the same day. Messages sent after 6pm (UK time) will be replied to the next working day at the latest.

  • That’s exactly what coaching is designed to help with.

We start by building a plan around where you are now—so it’s realistic and something you can actually stick to.

Progress looks different for everyone, and consistency is something we build over time—not something you need to have mastered before you start.

Through regular check-ins, we’ll look at what’s working, what’s not, and adjust things around any obstacles you’re facing.

Alongside that, you’ll have ongoing support and accountability—so you stay on track even when motivation dips.

  • No—you don’t need to join a gym to get started.

A lot of the initial work, especially around mobility and building consistency, can be done at home with minimal equipment.

As you progress, having access to a gym can be helpful—particularly if your goal is to build strength and improve overall fitness—but it’s not essential.

For many people, getting to the gym regularly can be a challenge due to time constraints. In those cases, we can structure your training around a mix of home sessions and 1–2 gym sessions per week if possible.

The plan is always built around what works for you and your schedule.

  • You don’t need a huge amount of time to see progress.

For most people, 5–10 minutes a day focused on mobility can make a big difference in how you feel and move.

A well-structured strength session can take as little as 30 minutes, and many clients make great progress with just 2–3 sessions per week.

If you have more specific performance goals—such as preparing for an event or competition—we can increase training volume accordingly.

But for most people, it’s about making consistent progress with the time you have—not trying to overhaul your entire schedule.

  • To give you enough time to see meaningful progress, I ask for an initial commitment of 3 months. After that, coaching continues on a flexible month-to-month basis.

  • Coaching is billed monthly, with packages covering the full month of support, programming, and check-ins.

  • The next step is to book a free consultation - just click the links on this page.
